coenzyme Q10Coenzyme Q10 or CoQ10, as it is called by those familiar with it, was revealed in the 1960’s as a fat-soluble substance that occurs naturally in plant and animal tissue. Researches showed it to be vital in the production of cell energy, and also it is an energy provider at a very basic cellular level. Although it occurs naturally in our bodies, and we have large concentrations in our hearts, liver, kidney and pancreas, it is rational to have a diet rich in it to make sure that we do not become lacking in this most important of coenzymes.

I’ve been using coenzyme Q10 which I bought from Healthy Options. The price is quite reasonable and I like the packaging of their health supplements. Coenzyme Q10 is just one of the many health supplements I got from them.

Sources of Coenzyme Q10 include leafy vegetables, grape seed, lean meat, fish, vegetable oils and soya beans. While it is now available as a supplement, it can best be gained from food. Also, The way to derive the maximum benefit is to eat raw foods that contain it because cooking can destroy. Amazingly, exercise also increases the Coenzyme Q10 levels of our bodies.

Our heart and cardiovascular system can be improved by its use and patients suffering from heart disease often say they feel better when taking it. It is said to help to open up the circulation in and around the heart and so lower blood pressure by reducing resistance to blood flow.

Our immune system is another area where Coenzyme Q10 is believed to be beneficial, in protecting our cells from free radical damage.
